Run And Remember In Sussex
You won't be flagging in this GB Run seafront memorial race...
After a successful return in 2024, with 350 finishers across four races, GBR Run is pleased to bring the popular multi-distance Bexhill Remembrance Run event back onto the Sussex running calendar on Saturday, 8 November 2025, starting at 09:30am.
With a start line at the De La Warr Pavillion, near the Bexhill War Memorial, all the races will be run on a pancake-flat, out-and-back route along the seafront, so will likely produce some fast times (weather permitting).
GBR Run has completed its 2025 Bexhill 5K Series of three races on Wednesday evenings in May, June and July, with winning male times around 15 minutes and women's top times around 19 minutes, so both the course and the organisation are already tried, tested, and race-ready.
There will be prizes for the leading runners and age categories in each adult race and a bespoke medal for all finishers. There will also be the Youth Mile on a shortened version of the promenade course on the seafront. All events are fully licenced and accurately measured.
The full programme starts with the Youth Mile at 09:30. The 10K is off at 10:00, the Half Marathon at 10:10, and the events conclude with a 5K blast starting at 10:15.
The winners last year, in ascending race distance order, were:
Youth Mile – Leo Anderson (Bexhill Runners, 7:04); Sofia Anderson (Bexhill Runners, 7:29)
5K – Alessandro Barreca (unattached, 19:10); Ksenia McCrae (Bexhill Runners, 21:01)
10K – Anthony Anderson (Eastbourne Rovers, 36:09); Olivia Fielder (unattached, 44:22)
Half – William Carey (Bexhill Runners, 1:13:16); Georgia Connor (unattached, 1:38:37).
Entry fees start from £7.50 for the Youth Mile, and a fast half-marathon number is yours for a bargain £28/£30, according to affiliation status.
