Come on down for the Crowle 10K
This crowd-pleasing event is back for 2022.
It’s good news for fans of the Crowle 10K as their favourite race hits the roads again on Sunday 8 May and where the village support is second to none. The 10K along with two Fun Runs for children means there is something for everyone, from elites to newcomers and proceeds from the event go to a variety of local causes.
Well organised and well supported, the Crowle 10K is one of those races that appears in many a runner’s diary and, with an attractive rural course, BBQ and entertainment it is easy to see why.
Whilst the adults have the 10K, youngsters can go for glory in two Fun Runs – the Quarter Mile for the under 9’s at 10.10am followed by the 1 Mile for the under 16’s at 10.25am. Both runs are held on the playing field in Crowle.
The 10K starts at 11am from the Parish Hall - which is also the location for the finish - and begins with a lap of the field before heading out on a closed road course in and around the area. The route includes Sale Green. Then it’s downhill onto Old Turnpike Road and into Crowle again with lively, enthusiastic spectators applauding the runners as they pass on their way to the finish.
There are prizes for the fastest runners in various categories, medals for all and best of all, tea, cakes and a BBQ: plenty of activities for children making this an ideal day out for families. Fingers crossed for dry, sunny weather on the day.
