The Eyemouth Twilight 5K is organised by Eyemouth Development Trust and brings runners of all ages together for an evening of racing in the picturesque Scottish Borders fishing town. Alongside the certified 5K, the event also includes Scott's Mini Fun Runs for children, creating a fun community occasion for families, local residents and visiting runners.
The accurately measured 5K starts and finishes at Giacopazzi's Gelato on Harbour Road before following a varied route through Eyemouth, including harbour views, residential roads and the road around the golf course. Chip timing, Scottish Athletics course certification and a professionally managed finish provide excellent conditions for runners aiming for a personal best, while the Mini Fun Runs offer age appropriate distances for younger participants.
Every participant receives a medal, goody bag and a complimentary Giacopazzi's ice cream, adding to the friendly atmosphere. With enthusiastic marshals, local entertainment and a scenic coastal setting, the Eyemouth Twilight 5K has become one of the highlights of the late summer running calendar in the Scottish Borders.
