Here's how you can save money while supporting people living with cancer...

England Athletics has joined forces with the fantastic cancer charity Macmillan Cancer Support to offer runners 50% discounts on their registration fees for many of the UK's most popular races. Use the code MAC50 to secure your place in your chosen race.

Under the strapline: 'Make the miles count in 2025 by signing up to run with Macmillan Cancer Support', the joint initiative enables runners to help support the nearly 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK by taking on a run with Team Macmillan.

Macmillan Cancer Support is doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK can offer, whoever and wherever they are. This short, emotional video gives an insight into their extraordinary work...

As well as a free running top, iron-on letters to personalise your kit, online training zone with expert tips and training plans, regular e-newsletters, fundraising packs and goody bags, you’ll receive the loudest and proudest cheer on the course from Team Macmillan’s incredible volunteers that will push you to reach that finish line!

The comprehensive list of participating events in England, Wales, and Scotland can be viewed at Macmillan Cancer Support here.

This month's highlights include Race to the Stones, the UK's favourite ultra-marathon along the UK's oldest path, The Ridgeway, on 12-13 July.

The Scottish 10K and Scottish Half Marathon in Edinburgh on 17 August and the Loch Ness Marathon on 28 September are among the selected events, as is the Great South Run in Portsmouth on 19 October.

The ever-popular Tough Mudder events also feature, with Tough Mudder Yorkshire on 26-27 July and Tough Mudder London South on 20-21 September.

If you are planning further ahead, the iconic Brighton Marathon and London Landmarks Half Marathon go head to head on 12 April 2026, and you can secure your entry for either of these often sold-out events with Team Macmillan now.

Another way to plan your charity running is to use runABC's Find My Next Race tool to select an event, then check the Macmillan Fundraise page to see if your chosen event is listed...
