Emmerdale stars take on Leeds 10K this weekend for children's cancer charity...

If you are running in this Sunday's Run For All Leeds 10K then you might find yourself star spotting as you make your way round the course with news that Emmerdale cast members will be toeing the line on a charity mission.

The Give A Duck Foundation, a West Yorkshire children’s cancer charity have recruited three actors from the popular Yorkshire drama. Alex Lincoln, who plays Jamie Tate and Emile John, who plays Ethan Anderson from Emmerdale will be running alongside fellow cast member Lawrence Robb to take on the challenge.

Give A Duck provides Chemo Ducks and Huggable Hopes for local children living with cancer. Chemo Ducks are fitted with medical lines and ports to mirror those of the children and are used by play leaders to prepare the children for the many challenging treatments they endure. Huggable Hope help siblings cope with the challenges they face.

Brian Curran, Give A Duck’s Fundraiser said: “ We are grateful to Alex, Emile and Lawrence for supporting us. As well as raising funds for us to continue our work they are also helping us to raise awareness of the charity.”

Lawrence Robb who plays Emmerdale bad boy, Mackenzie Boyd says: “We are delighted to be supporting such an important charity that helps children with cancer and hope to raise as much money as possible.”

Anyone who wants to support the actors can do so by going to their JustGiving page.
