The Dunoon Ultra Marathon follows the spectacular Loch Eck Loop through the heart of Argyll, covering 52.2 kilometres of varied trail with forest tracks, rolling hills, long climbs, fast descents and short road sections. The route circles the east and west shores of Loch Eck before overlooking the Holy Loch and the Firth of Clyde, delivering some of Scotland's finest trail running scenery.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the event welcomes both solo ultra runners and relay teams. Starting at Benmore Botanic Garden and finishing at Dunoon Pier, the fully marked course includes marshalled checkpoints, refreshments, drop bag access, complimentary post race massage and bespoke finisher rewards including a medal and race buff.
Whether you are tackling your first ultra, chasing a new endurance challenge or sharing the experience with a relay team, the Dunoon Ultra Marathon offers a memorable day of trail running through the outstanding landscapes of Argyll.
