runABC is in the process of upgrading and improving its online service so you might encounter the odd glitch over the next week or so but rest assured we’re working on them and the new site will be a fantastic resource for our running community.

Action from the Draycote Water 10K

Draycote Water 10K

11 February & 11 March then 8 April and monthly throughout the summer

This 10K has a brilliant waterside location and is a great event for all types of runner. The course is a loop of the reservoir on a perfectly smooth service road.

The setting is special with great views across the water and the country park grounds and animals around you. You’ll find it hard to believe that you’re just five minutes out of Rugby town centre.

Draycote Water 10K takes place on the second Sunday of every month. There are two more events in the winter series on 11 February (next Sunday) and 11 March before the six race summer series begins on 8 April and gives runners the chance for stunning summer running.

Event team The Race Organiser has put together a great package for this terrific series which includes - special Draycote Water medals, a free T-shirt (or other running apparel if you’ve ran more than one race in the series) and a replenishing goody bag for every finisher. These races offer incredible value and draw runners from across the Midlands.

Get down to the waterside and find out what you’ve been missing! Why not bring the family to enjoy the on-site play areas and country park to make a day of it? Cream tea in the café is the perfect reward for any 10k finisher.

Build Draycote Water 10K into your 2018 programme and buy a 6-race series pass (just £70 for affiliated runners). As you learn to take advantage of the great favourable conditions and master the Sunday race time, you will be in a great position to lower your 10k time as the year progresses.

You'll also get to know the other series runners and enjoy the friendly rivalry as you all see your times getting faster!
