The Donkey Brae Races are a popular part of the annual Aberdour Festival in Fife, bringing together competitive runners, junior participants and families for a day of racing beside the Firth of Forth. The event features a scenic 7 mile race, a 2 mile junior race and a family friendly fun run.
Starting and finishing at Silver Sands Park, the 7 mile route follows undulating coastal paths between Aberdour and Dalgety Bay, offering sea views and varied mixed terrain. The 2 mile race remains closer to the village, incorporating woodland sections before tackling the traditional Donkey Brae climb on the way to the finish.
