New & Improved Doncaster Half Is Back

Doncaster Half Marathon makes its return this summer with an all new course to satisfy runners...

Turn your mind back to 2019, a time before we all knew the difference between PCR and LTF! A time before we had to mortgage our homes to pay for a full tank of fuel. A time when Ukraine was better known for being a Eurovision winner. You get the picture, happier days. And it was certainly a happy time for runners in South Yorkshire as it saw the return of the Doncaster Half Marathon - after an absence of 20 years.

After the excitement of the race's big return three years ago, there was the now standard (or so it seems) two year gap due to C****, but runners can celebrate once again with news that Doncaster Half will be back this year on 12 June and not only that, it is back with an 'all new look'.

The new look half has come about as a result of runner feedback from the 2019 staging after which organisers listened and took on board what was said about the good and 'not so good' parts of the course. A spokesperson says: "We've worked on visiting more of our amazing Doncaster communities and created a route that has the potential to be one of the 'most-supported' out there ... and a great place to run too!"

The race will finish on the world class Doncaster UCI cycle track which will make for a fantastic final kilometre for runners, and provide real excitement for spectators too. Organisers promise: "It took a lot of hard work from an amazing group of dedicated people to make this happen! The course will not disappoint those who are hoping for a fast yet challenging run and lots of cheering spectators on the route!"
