Fife's Trail Festival
This Fife-based trail running festival continues to grow as a popular fixture on the Scottish running calendar...
Trail runners are set for a late summer treat as the Scurry Around Devilla Forest Trail Running Festival returns to Fife on 23 August, offering a full day of off road racing in one of the region’s most scenic woodland settings.
Taking place in Devilla Forest, the festival features a mixed terrain half marathon alongside 10K and 5K options, as well as a 1.5K family fun run, creating an event that caters for all ages and abilities. With more than 1900 acres of predominantly Scots pine woodland, four hidden lochs and the chance to spot red squirrels along the way, the setting provides a memorable backdrop for runners.
All three main races will follow single lap routes through the forest, starting and finishing within the grounds of Tulliallan Police College. The courses are fully marked and marshalled, making them accessible for those new to trail running as well as more experienced competitors looking for a fast and flowing route.
The event hub will be based at Tulliallan, creating a central point for runners and spectators alike, with live race commentary throughout the day. A range of running and nutrition brands will also be on site, alongside coffee and refreshments, helping to create a lively festival atmosphere.
The 1.5K fun run will take place within the grounds of Tulliallan and is aimed at younger runners and families, with all proceeds going to the event’s chosen charities. Every participant will receive a medal and post race snacks.
