Dalmeny Trail Half Marathon

Feel A Part Of Something This Autumn

A race that is as much about having fun as it is about good times and stunning vistas... count us in!

Blast Running's events are always a fun way to test yourself and autumn's Dalmeny Estate Trail Half Marathon is no different. The 2024 edition will take place on 27 October and will also see runners treated to a new route.

Speaking about the event, organisers say: "Our Dalmeny Estate Trail Half is a great fun mix of running and socialising. Check out our 2023 photos for proof of the giggles to be found along the way!"

This beautiful trail half marathon has an undulating course with splendid views across the Firth of Forth. It has always provided runners with a perfect mix of wooded trails, riverside paths and farm tracks around Dalmeny Estate and Cammo Nature Reserve.

And that won't change with the new route, organisers say: "Our ‘new for 2024’ route is a goodie even if we say so ourselves! There are no stairs this year folks, just a couple of ‘lung deepening’ short climbs so it’s still a challenging route but it’s a very beautiful one, especially in the autumn colours of October."

As we mentioned, these races aren't just about the course or the time they are also about having fun and feeling a part of something. A previous participant was certainly delighted with the race atmosphere, as this comment highlights: "I noticed from participants how inclusive your events are, so many smiling faces and runners who are there to push themselves but also to have a fabulous day out with friends and fast time not being a priority. Also, you are obviously giving many females the confidence to run - we were out in force today."

There will be food and drink at the finish area and medals for all finishers as well as event t-shirts and hoodies available to pre-order and to purchase on the day. The race is a fundraiser for the South Queensferry RNLI.
