The Dalmeny Halloween Trail Half is a scenic half marathon exploring Dalmeny Estate and Cammo Nature Reserve near South Queensferry. Taking place in autumn, the route combines wooded trails, riverside paths and farm tracks across a varied landscape close to Edinburgh, with plenty of changing scenery along the way.
Runners cover 13.1 miles on a course with less than 1,000ft of total ascent, providing rolling terrain without becoming excessively hilly. The route is marked and marshalled, with a mixture of surfaces and surroundings creating a varied trail challenge for experienced off road runners and those stepping into trail racing.
The event features chip timing, a finisher’s medal, age category prizes and first aid support on the course. A post race buffet and hot drinks await runners at the finish, while entrants can also support the South Queensferry RNLI through an optional donation as part of their entry.
