The Great Cumbrian Run is Cumbria's leading running event, bringing together a Half Marathon, 10K, officially measured 5K and 1.1 mile Family Fun Run each autumn in Carlisle. Managed by Better and Sport in Action, the event has been a highlight of the county's running calendar since 1982, welcoming runners of all ages and abilities.
The predominantly closed road courses showcase Carlisle's historic streets, parks and riverside surroundings before finishing at The Sheepmount Athletics Stadium. From the Half Marathon to the 10K, 5K and Family Fun Run, participants can choose a distance to suit their goals while enjoying professionally organised racing in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
