Coventry Half Marathon

Coventry Countdown

It may be just a couple of weeks away, but there is still time to join the crowd at this year's Coventry Half Marathon...

After making a triumphant return to the events calendar in 2023, the much-loved Coventry Half Marathon will return in 2024 on 28 April. Recreating much of the previously popular route, the event will take place on the historic City Centre streets before heading to the nearby countryside and out towards Shakespeare’s county of Warwickshire.

This is a great event for runners and spectators alike, with a scenic route that promises to attract huge crowds of supporters and allows for a spot of phenomenal sightseeing as the gothic city centre meets the picturesque countryside.

Once runners reach the Coventry Cathedral finish line they will be greeted with a goody bag of rewards, including post-run treats and a hard-earned bespoke medal for them to remember the day.

In 2023 over 1500 people took part, the first male across the finish line was Jason Bennett in a time of 1:10:05. Claire Jacobs was the first female in 1:16:43.

Commenting on the day, Tristan Batley-Kyle of Run For All said: “A truly spectacular day and an amazing atmosphere from start to finish, it was wonderful to see so many participants of all ages and abilities join us on the start line.

“The enthusiasm and support from everyone involved, from the participants themselves to the many spectators, sponsors, partners and volunteers, all ensured the day was a fantastic success.”

So, whether you are lacing up your trainers to beat a personal best, running with friends or would like to take on a brand-new challenge, join in on the start line on Sunday 28th April for a day to remember.
