The Festival That's Fun For All The Family

Make big family plans for Cumbernauld this autumn...

Autumn is always a beautiful season, and the perfect time for racing whether the distance is a 10K or a marathon. Runners in the Central Belt will be pleased to hear that the Cumbernauld 10K is back on the race calendar for this September and as ever organisers are promising 'a family-focussed community running festival with fun at its heart'.

Delivered by Active & Creative Communities in North Lanarkshire Council and based at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld, the event is scheduled to take place on Sunday 11 September. Alongside the headline 10K road race, there will also be a 3K timed run for pupils in S1 to S4, a children's 1K race for pupils in P5 to P7, a 400m dash for pupils in P1 to P4 and this year will also see the return of the Toddler Dash for 3-5 year-olds.

Throughout the day there will be a range of free and fun activities for all the community, so whether you plan to run or not, get yourself along to join in the fun and cheer on the runners.

This year the event will run in partnership with North Lanarkshire Suicide Prevention and participants can make donations to the charity when they enter any of these races. Those who are an NLC jogscotland member are entitled to a 50% discount code which can be accessed by emailing Craig Holmes via this link.

Cumbernauld 10K is always a popular race, so make sure you don't miss out! Sign up here.
