Cleobury Mortimer 10K Returns For Summer 2026
Closed road 10K returns to Shropshire...
The Cleobury Mortimer 10K returns on Sunday 5 July 2026 as Cleobury Mortimer Running Club brings back its popular closed road race after a year's break.
Taking place around the picturesque Shropshire town of Cleobury Mortimer, the event will be the fifth edition of the race and offers runners the chance to tackle a fully road closed 10K supported by marshals from the local running club.
Starting and finishing at Cleobury Mortimer Sports and Social Club, the route combines competitive racing with a friendly community atmosphere. Runners will once again have the opportunity to take on the course's well known challenge, affectionately referred to by organisers as taking on "Ron Hill" once more.
The event has built a loyal following thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and strong local support. Whether chasing a PB, returning to racing or taking on a summer 10K challenge, runners can expect a well organised race day in the heart of the Shropshire countryside.
All finishers will receive a bespoke medal, while prizes will be awarded for leading runners and age category winners. The event will also feature chip timing, a water station, food and drink, and access to facilities within the Sports Club and Sports Hall.
With closed roads, local support and a scenic Shropshire setting, the Cleobury Mortimer 10K continues to offer an enjoyable summer race for runners of all abilities.
