Halloween Blackout Run 5K Runners

Blackout Is Back For Spooky Season

It's time to start planning your Halloween themed races...

With the kids now back at school (mostly), it is surely ok to start thinking about Halloween... If you're keen to sign up to a spooksome event this year then how about a Halloween Blackout 5K event, which this year has two venues to choose from. One in the east, and one in the west. Organisers can't promise that there will be any Wicked Witches in attendance though sadly!

Chest Heart Stroke Scotland (CHSS) will once again bring runners some seriously spooky fun, with race action taking place on 21 October in East Lothian at the Winton Estate, Tranent and Galston, Ayrshire.

The action-packed course includes over 30 obstacles, from the tricky tyre wall to the barbed wire army crawl, and tunnels and trenches filled with water guaranteed to make a splash. Suitable for all ages (8+), you’ll take on everything from rope swings to Ninja Warrior rings!

Runners will need stamina and determination to make their way round the 5K course, but they will have loads of fun along the way. This ghoulishly good night is perfect whether you’re an assault course pro or a complete beginner.

The fun doesn't stop when the obstacles end, as there will be a host of food and drink vendors and entertainment for a festival atmosphere on the day, and there’s free parking too. Those taking part will also receive an exclusive goody bag and a medal - so no need to go trick or treating then!
