Charity of the Week

Party time at the Royal Sutton Fun Run

Royal Sutton Fun Run Ready For Its Sporty 40

Sign up and lace up for this milestone event which raises thousands of pounds for worthy causes.

Everyone is invited to take part in the 40th Royal Sutton Fun Run at 11am on Sunday 4 June. Runners will be part of a special day where the aim is to complete 8.5 miles in like minded company whilst supporting their chosen charity.

There is always a large turnout at the Royal Sutton Fun Run which offers a fantastic challenge in a safe environment. You can expect lively atmosphere making it a hugely enjoyable day for all. It’s a favourite for many Midlands runners and places are going fast so the advice is to enter sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.

The tarmac route is undulating and includes the infamous ‘Cardiac Hill’ in the latter stages; however, there’ll be no shortage of claps, cheers and shouts of encouragement from spectators around Royal Sutton Coldfield. Keeping the legs moving and the spirits high as participants – with more than a few wearing fancy dress – run, jog or walk to the finish in the town centre.

Finishers receive a special commemorative medal, sponsored by Cookes Furniture.

Participants’ efforts and generosity over the years has resulted in nearly £5 million being raised for voluntary organisations and charities. These funds enable them to continue delivering services that make a difference to people’s lives.

There are 5500 places up for grabs. Registration will close when all these have been sold or Easter Monday (10 April) – whichever is first.
