Get Creepin' This Summer
A fantastic 10K course in scenic parkland is on offer at this summer event...
The first in the Cattle Creep trilogy took place earlier this month, Cattle Creep - A Little Further offered runners '10 miles of creeping' and was enjoyed by all who took part. If you enjoy running around the Milton Keynes area and fancy a bit of 'creeping' as well then take note that the next race - the Cattle Creep 10K - will take place on 20 June and entries are now open.
Known as the 'sunny' one, the Cattle Creep 10K is a riverside running event that takes runners on a journey through the hidden gem parkland of north Milton Keynes. The route also features an exciting challenge as it will see runners head under the Grand Union Canal via the Cattle Creep.
This mid-week summer run is perfect for all ages and can also be enjoyed with your furry friends as the event is dog-friendly. Don't have a dog, do have runnning buddies? Why not join forces to form a team of four and compete to see who will come out on top. Your individual times will be combined to determine the fastest team, so the faster you run, the better your team's chances! Organisers say: "There are prizes for the fastest male and female teams, so choose your teammates wisely!"
If you can’t make the Cattle Creep 10K there there is also the option to run it virtually with the deadline to submit results being 14 July.
Leaving summer behind and looking further ahead there is the The Cattle Creepy 10K which returns on Tuesday 29 October. At this event you can celebrate Halloween in style thanks to this fantastic 10K riverside run. This event also uses the old Cattle Creep to take runners under the Grand Union Canal to the parkland on the other side.
