The Caistor Sting Challenge is organised by Caistor Running Club and takes place in and around the Georgian market town of Caistor on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. First held in 2014, the event has become a popular summer fixture, bringing runners together for a distinctive multi terrain challenge before finishing in South Street Park.
The approximately 9.5K route starts with a fast downhill section before leaving the roads for countryside tracks and fields with panoramic views across the Lincolnshire landscape. The second half features the event's famous rolling hills before returning through Caistor's historic streets to a lively finish in the park.
Marshals, a pre race warm up and a welcoming event atmosphere help create a memorable race day. All finishers receive a commemorative Sting Challenge running vest and a complimentary ice cream, with the Caistor Goes Festival taking place alongside the finish to complete the community celebration.
