No Sting In This Race's Tail

This race bucks the trend and reduces its entry fee for 2023...

There's no 'sting in the tail' for this popular July event, with news that the 11th outing of the Caistor 10K will see its entry price fall for 2023! That's right - no rise. Organisers commented: "At a time when costs seem to be going up everywhere, we've cut our entry price to just £17 with our earlybird entry offer!"

They continued: "We see this as a thank you to everyone who's helped the event to become such a success over the past 11 years!"

Scheduled for 2 July, the Brianplant ‘Sting in the Tail’ Caistor 10K is a popular and challenging race with a friendly atmosphere. Fancy dress is an important aspect and there are prizes for the best male and female costume along with those for the top three men and women; age group winners, teams and Under 18’s.

The Mini Sting Fun Run for youngsters starts at 9am from Caistor Market Place and involves two laps of a 1K course. There are prizes for the winning boy and girl, spot prizes and a medal plus goody bag for all finishers.

At 10am it is the turn of the 10K which sees runners following an attractive course in and around the market town of Caistor. Mainly flat and fast for the first 7K then the ‘sting’ in the form of hills for the final 3K before finishing in the Market Place. The question is, who will be ‘King of the Sting’ for the final 2K segment of the race?

The reduced entry fee, which is £2.50 less (applicable until 30 April) includes a beer, an ice cream and a unique memento for all finishers!
