You can't miss the start as it's right on the Dam Bridge! The main event starts at 6:30pm and there is a 1K race for children aged 3-7 and a 2K race for 8-14 year olds starting at 5:00pm.

The round reservoir walk at Burrator is 4.5 miles long, and the Burrator Discovery Centre hosts many events and activities in an area frequently described as the 'jewel of Dartmoor'. Burrator Nature Reserve offers a unique day out for families, nature enthusiasts and lovers of the great outdoors.

With just 90 metres of ascent, this is a rarely found fast and flat road race course on Dartmoor, or in Devon generally, perfect for setting a new personal best. The route is almost entirely on tarmac and the views are spectacular as you circumnavigate the reservoir on fully closed roads from the Burrator Dam Bridge.

Last year saw 516 finishers in 1:42:40, and the winners were Ben Neale (Tavistock AC, 33:00) and the 2023 defending champion Nikki Kelly (Tavistock AC, 38:52). The first 22 runners beat 40 minutes; 135 were inside 50 minutes, and 314 beat the hour.

The Saturday evening start time sets Burrator 10K apart from other races. This allows plenty of time for supporters to enjoy the attractions and facilities at Burrator Reservoir and the Discovery Centre before the race begins.

The Burrator 10K entry includes free professional event photos; electronic chip timing; distance markers; water station with gels; medals for all finishers, and the expertise of the dedicated Sportiva Events team built over hundreds of events in Devon.
