A Festival Of Running & Adventure
Whether you’re looking for a challenging race or a scenic run with friends and family, this is an event not to be missed...
Runners of all abilities are set to descend upon the stunning grounds of Burghley House in Stamford for the Burghley Multisport Weekend on 10 May - a jam-packed weekend filled with sporting action, breathtaking scenery and an unforgettable race-day experience.
With 18 different event options, this multisport festival caters to everyone, from elite athletes to weekend warriors and families looking for a fun challenge. Whether you’re tackling the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K or the Junior Fun Run, every race promises an adventure through one of the UK’s most iconic estates.
Unlike traditional city races, these routes aren’t about chasing PBs - they’re about exploration and experience. The courses weave through a mixture of trail, road and estate tracks, taking runners to parts of Burghley that are ordinarily closed to the public. With exclusive access to the estate’s hidden gems, the event offers unrivalled views, varied terrain and a unique running experience.
The Burghley Half Marathon leads runners on a 13.1-mile journey through woodlands, open parkland and historic estate grounds, all culminating in an epic finish line in front of Burghley House. The Burghley 10K is a single lap of the estate, offering a mix of tarmac and light trails, while the Burghley 5K distills all the best parts of the course into a short but spectacular route.
For younger runners, the Burghley Fun Run gives under-16s a chance to experience the thrill of the event, dashing 1K from the front of Burghley House to the finish line, earning their own well-deserved medals.
