Kent Spring Marathon medal 2025

Nice Medal By Nice Work

Kent Spring Marathon and Half Marathon is almost full...

The Kent Spring Marathon and Half Marathon is described on the Nice Work events website as: "A superbly crafted Spring Marathon and Half Marathon through some of Kent's prettiest countryside for your racing pleasure...Will you accept the challenge?"

You'll have to be quick if you intend to accept the challenge, as the Kent Road Race Grand Prix event on Sunday, 13 April 2025, is nearing capacity. The half marathon has a waiting list, but you can still guarantee your entry for the full marathon via runABC South here.

A generous six-hour cut-off time has been set for the marathon on the quiet, undulating lanes around Ashford, Westwell, and Charing, with a short section on the historic long-distance Pilgrims Way path.

Both races are great for runners of all abilities, from experienced endurance athletes to first-timers attempting the half marathon or full marathon distance. These races have attracted great reviews and make a refreshing change from the bustling city events.

This year's entries will help to raise valuable funds for the 2025 partner charity, The Samaritans Ashford & Tenterden. The Samaritans work tirelessly to ensure that they are there day and night for anyone struggling to cope. They make sure people have somewhere to turn and support when they need it most, and they campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.

The Race HQ and Registration is open at 07:30 and both races start at 09:00 at Sandyacres Sports Club. There is no competitor parking at the race venue but free car parking has been arranged at Upper Pemberton Road, opposite NHS Trinity House (TN25 4AZ). Please be aware that it's approximately a 10-minute walk to the Race HQ and start.

Last year's Kent Spring Marathon winners were Pepe Capdevila (Stubbington Green, 2:46:00) and W35 Charlotte Broyd (unattached, 3:18:03). The Kent Spring Half Marathon title holders are Wegahta Zerom (Ashford AC, 1:10:30) and W40 Julia Lewis (unattached, 1:32:32). A total of 436 competed.
