Bridge of Orchy 10K is a mixed terrain race surrounded by the dramatic Highland scenery of the Black Mount Estate. Starting near Bridge of Orchy Hotel, the route combines quiet roads with a section of the West Highland Way and views across Loch Tulla towards the surrounding mountains.
The course begins with a relatively gentle road section past Loch Tulla and continues beyond Inveroran Hotel to the turning point at Victoria Bridge. Runners then return towards Inveroran before joining the West Highland Way for a sustained trail climb, followed by a roughly 2K descent towards Bridge of Orchy and the finish.
Around 216m of climbing and a combination of road and rougher trail create a varied and challenging 10K. Electronic chip timing records finish times, while the Highland setting, expansive mountain views and demanding West Highland Way section give the race a distinctive character.
