Blue Is The Colour At Ibrox 5K

Earlier this week runABC Scotland reported the success of Cumbernauld 10K at the 2018 UK Running Awards and highlighted the event's feature stadium start and finish at Broadwood, the home of Clyde FC. Now organisers of the Blue All Over Fun Run are offering the chance to run, jog or walk around Rangers FC's Ibrox Stadium.

Sunday 20 May is the date of the Rangers Charity Foundation's (RCF) 5K and the entry fee of £10 covers medal, goody bag and a programme of family entertainment. Participants will have the opportunity to run around the track within the ground.

To encourage fundraising the RCF is promising those who raise £100 recognition as True Blue Heroes. Heroes will be invited to a special reception at Ibrox to receive their True Blue medal and pin badge from a first team player.

This event maybe more attractive to runners of a partisan nature with those taking part set to be covered in blue paint. Heaven for followers of the high profile Glasgow football team as they end up 'blue all over' less attractive to those with different sporting affinities!

Entry details at the Event Brite website.
