Beast Race is a 10K obstacle race at Knockburn Loch near Banchory, taking participants across rugged Aberdeenshire countryside and through a succession of natural and constructed challenges. The course incorporates hills, mud, water and obstacles to create a demanding outdoor challenge for individuals and teams.

Runners tackle wild hill climbs and tough off road terrain between obstacles, with the 10K course featuring island crossings, thick mud, swamp sections, icy loch water and giant water slides. The combination of sustained running and obstacle challenges tests stamina, strength and agility throughout the course rather than focusing purely on finishing time.

The Knockburn Loch setting plays a central role in the challenge, with the surrounding hills, woodland and water incorporated into the course alongside purpose built obstacles. Participants can take on Beast Race individually or as a team, with teamwork and shared challenges forming a key part of the event.
