If you like your events to come with an extra helping of mud, mayhem and monster challenges then get ready for a muddy good time at September's Banchory Beast Race which is returning in 2022 bigger and better than ever!

Buckle up for the a thrilling adventure and tackle this epic 10K obstacle course, with its wild hill climbs and non-stop obstacles in the heart of Aberdeenshire on Saturday 24 September.

Organisers are promising an amazing course that’s as fun as it is challenging, with participants facing giant water slides, icy loch water, thick mud, swamp crossings and an array of exciting obstacles all in an effort to 'defeat the Beast'. A spokesperson told runABC: "Expect the unexpected at this year’s event, with brand new challenges around the course to keep you on your toes."

Whether you tackle it solo or as a team is up to you – either way, it’s the ultimate challenge which will test your stamina and determination. And if you want to make your mud do good then make sure you sign up for a free charity place with the Beast Race’s charity partner Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

One in five people in Scotland are living with a chest, heart or stroke condition – including long covid. By pledging to raise money for CHSS, you’ll be helping people get the support they need to live life to the full after returning home from hospital. Every penny you raise will help people do more than survive – it’ll help them really live.
