Beacon To Beacon Is Back
Lace up your running shoes and get ready for the Spooktacular Beacon to Beacon Halloween Run...
Fancy a fun 12K Halloween event where you run all the way from from Huddersfield to Halifax? Entries are open for the spooktacular Beacon to Beacon Halloween Run with organisers, Run Able, promising runners a 'hauntingly good time' on 31 October.
Participants will experience a thrilling Halloween adventure, running from Castle Hill in Huddersfield to Beacon Hill which is situated above Halifax. The route taken is entirely down to the choice of each participant but organisers say: "We believe the shortest route is 9.02 miles and goes via Cromwell Bottom and Brighouse, we would use this as it's the most spooktastic one as you traverse through dark, scenic routes filled with Halloween surprises."
Registration is Beacon Hill, Halifax with bus transportation provided from there to the start at Castle Hill in Huddersfield. This location has ancient ruins and ghostly tales making it ideal location for the start of this Halloween race.
As this is a Halloween-themed event you should dress in your most creative or frightening costume for a chance to win spooky prizes and organisers say: "Look out for our team at key passing points for a chance to win surprise prizes on the night!"
Organisers, RunAble organise a variety of fun events and say: "We believe that running is more than just a sport - it's a way of life. That's why we're committed to building a community of runners who share our passion for fitness, fun, and adventure."
