Sunday, 7 May will see the return of a unique 10K race that runners in Cheshire (and beyond) shouldn't let pass them by! The Alderley Edge Bypass 10K has been a firm fixture on the local running calendar for some time now thanks to its fun, family-focused atmosphere, and organisers Run North West, promise that this year's staging will offer more of the same.

The 10K race offers a unique chance to run through the heart of the Cheshire countryside, with beautiful views of the surrounding area and live music/entertainment at every kilometre - see if you can sing and dance your way to a personal best!

The accurately measured 10K road race takes place predominantly on the Melrose Way section of the A34 bypass and is completely closed to traffic. As well as the entertainment at every kilometre there will be fun filled race village meaning it can be a fun day for all the family.

Speaking ahead of the May event, organisers commented: "Fancy singing and dancing your way to a new PB?Our music stations at every kilometer allow you to do just that!

"Or take it easy and enjoy a fun race with friends while listening to our fantastic live bands! We have a great selection of local artists to entertain you including: Wilmslow Rock Choir, Evil Badger and DJ’s bringing you pumping tunes to keep you running fast!"

Those who want to know about the bling will be delighted to hear that race entry includes a collectable traffic themed medals with a new die sign for 2023!
