Is Your Heart In The Trails?
Check out this late November trail race that is sure to test your stamina...
A tough trail race is a great way to feel 'alive', so join Action Heart at their 6 mile Tuff-Un event and enjoy the thrill it brings. Runners will enjoy running along single tracks, through water, up hills and in the mud with organisers assuring us this will make you 'feel mighty epic'!
Join in the fun with hundreds of others at 11am on Sunday 26 November whilst supporting this local charity and be rewarded with a race memento along with a huge ‘thank you’. Held in Baggeridge Country Park in South Staffordshire – a popular, Green Flag visitor attraction with plenty to see and do, there are trails, woodland, grassland and wetland, the variety of which make it an ideal location for a race where the aim is to test your limits on an undulating course.
Participants can expect a fair amount of the 'claggy' stuff especially if there is rain beforehand but rest assured this is all part of the experience, slipping and sliding your way to glory. A pair of trail shoes with a good grip is recommended instead of your trusty racing flats.
Action Heart is a cardiac rehabilitation programme at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, West Midlands. A registered charity, it cares for a large number of patients with heart issues who benefit from the personalised service and facilities on offer which enable them to live a normal life.
This race is a favourite with many runners and places are likely to be snapped up. If you are wondering if you are tough enough then there is only one way to find out...
