Tatton Yule Yomp Snowmen

It's coming...

Say yes please, to this year's Yule Yomp!

It's now less than three months until Christmas, so we won't apologise for bringing you news of one of the north's many festive race offerings. And if looking at this image and seeing the name Tatton Yule Yomp doesn't make you smile then Scrooge, there's just no helping you!

The Tatton Yule Yomp will return to the beautiful Cheshire countryside on 11 December. The 10K trail race attracts both club runners seeking to place and recreational runners enjoying a festive event, many in fabulous fancy dress!

The race is a one-lap course which runs through and around Tatton Park, consisting of undulating terrain, trail, grass, tarmac and gravel. The final 1K is on a fully closed road, back to Race HQ at Egerton Youth Club.

There will also be a family fun run on the day which starts as soon as the main 10K event has set off. Entries for this fantastic-festive offering are £7 and includes medal for all finishers. Surely better than anything Santa will bring?!

Race organisers Run North West were delighted with the turnout last year, and hope for similar in 2022. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers as well as the first Vet in all age groups. Last year Kyle Fairclough of Sale Harriers won the race in a time of 37:07 while Sarah Murphy of Vale Royal AC won the women's race in 41:32.
