Little Ones Get Set For Lincoln

The City of Lincoln Fun Run is back after a two-year absence...

Entries are now open for one of Lincoln’s most popular children’s charity fun runs – the Arena Group City of Lincoln Fun Run. Taking place on the same day (30 October) as the City of Lincoln 10K, the event is open to anyone aged three years plus; offering a perfect opportunity for families and friends to stay active and healthy together. So, if you've put off entering the 10K yourself so far, maybe getting the kids involved on the day as well is the perfect excuse to sign up and make this a real family day out.

Participants will wheel, walk, jog and run a 3.5K route around the city centre, while being cheered on by the crowds that Lincoln is renowned for. All participants will receive a selection of goodies and a medal to celebrate their achievement.

Run for All and Arena Group are encouraging children of all backgrounds and abilities to take part in the Fun Run, including those with disabilities and any other special considerations. As part of its sponsorship of the events, Arena Group is looking to increase participation by offering 150 free entries to local schools in Lincoln, and is encouraging schools to get in contact with Run For All directly to redeem these entries.

Gary Putson of Arena Group said: “We are delighted to be supporting the City of Lincoln Fun Run and we remain immensely proud of our long association with the Run for All team and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.

“The event is a great way to encourage anyone, regardless of ability or background, to get out and be active and for many there’s the added incentive of supporting a cause close to their hearts.”

Tristan Batley Kyle of Run For All, added,: “This will be the first time we’ve held the Fun Run since 2019 so we are really looking forward to being back in the city and welcoming people to take part in this popular event.

“All of our Fun Run events are created to be entirely inclusive, and we encourage people of all ages to take part regardless of ability. If you or your child have mobility issues or any other special considerations, please get in touch so we can help you have the best experience.”

Schools are encouraged to email Run For All to redeem their free entries into the fun run (maximum 10 entries per school). You can find out more over on the event website.
