The Yr Wyddfa Ultra 50 is a challenging 45 mile mountain ultramarathon starting and finishing at Y Stablau in Betws-y-Coed. The route explores the heart of Eryri National Park, passing iconic locations including Tryfan, Yr Wyddfa, Glyder Fach, Glyder Fawr, Devil's Kitchen, Llyn Idwal, Llyn Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd.
With approximately 2,800 metres of ascent across technical mountain trails, the event is designed for experienced ultrarunners with previous mountain running experience. The route is supported by checkpoints, live GPS tracking and mandatory safety requirements, creating a demanding but well organised mountain challenge.
