All Thrills; No Hills

Early Bird alert for the Worthing 10K...

With less than 100 days to go, this is your final chance to save with an Early Bird entry for the Worthing 10K by Run Base Events. Discounted entries close this Sunday, 8th March, for the Sussex seaside PB generator that comes under starters orders at 9:30am on Sunday, 7th June.

The Worthing 10K is one of the largest 10K events in the south, welcoming runners of all abilities to the fast, flat, PB-friendly race route that boasts an elevation gain of just 18 metres, or 1.8m per kilometre!

This race has sold out for the past three years and typically has over 2,000 competitors. Last year's winners were local star Jack Woods (Worthing & District Harriers, 30:51) and W35 Cassie Thorp (City of Portsmouth AC, 34:50), as 2,138 finished in 1:53:41.

The out-and-back seafront course starts on Worthing's Marine Parade and heads past Marine Gardens to Goring-by-Sea beach and the turn at Goring Greensward, before runners retrace their steps to finish near Worthing Lido. The entire route is on fully closed roads with a smooth running surface throughout.

Two drink stations are provided and all finishers will receive a fantastic medal, free runner photography, finish line goodies and an optional but totally complimentary dip in the sea! Whether you’re a first timer, running for charity, or an experienced club runner, you’ll enjoy a fantastic morning of running by the seaside.

The action commences at 8:45am with the Junior Mile for children aged 5 to 14 years. The Mini Mile can be entered for £8, and the 10K is on offer from £28 for the final Early Birds.
