Charity runners at the Worcester City Runs Event

Run the Virtual Worcester City event for kid's cancer charity

Go virtual at Worcester City Run for Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust

2020 Worcester City Runs has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak; however, the organisers have launched a virtual event to be held on the same weekend (5-7 September) that will raise funds for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

Organisers Events of the North made the decision to cancel following discussions with sponsor Air Products and Worcester City Council. A tough call but necessary as event founder Steve Cram says: “We made the right decision in the current circumstances and we will be back even bigger and better next year.”

In the meantime, runners can put their training and preparation into practice in the Air Products Virtual Worcester City Runs event. They have a choice of 5K, 10K and Half Marathon – solo - and there are prizes for the top three in each distance along with spot prizes. Every finisher receives a bespoke medal and tote bag in return for their efforts and there is the option to buy a technical T-shirt or headband at the time of registration.

Half of every entry fee, after tax, will go to official charity partner, the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust who appreciate any support saying: “We would love as many people as possible to sign up to this virtual event as we are grateful to be receiving a proportion of the entry fees.” Runners are invited to fundraise for this local worthy cause and help children and their families affected by cancer.
