Worcester City Runs Again!
Countdown begins now for the Worcester City Runs 2025...
The 2025 Worcester City Runs has officially launched with new title partner Sutcliffe & Co and the introduction of the WCR Real Ambassadors programme, which aims to inspire more people to take up running. The event, set for 13-14 September, will once again bring thousands of runners and spectators to the streets of Worcester.
The new Real Ambassadors programme will see five Worcestershire residents, each nominated by a primary event partner, receive dedicated training support to help them prepare for the Worcester City 10K. The aim is to encourage more participation by sharing their unique running journeys.
Since its launch in 2014, the Worcester City Runs - organised by Events of the North - has become one of the city’s biggest sporting events. Featuring the 10K, Half Marathon, Young Athletes Runs, Paula Radcliffe’s Families on Track and XO Races urban orienteering, the event attracts runners of all levels.
Event founder, Steve Cram praised the event’s continued success, stating: “The Worcester City Runs have always been brilliantly supported, and it’s exciting to have a local company as our new title partner. The Real Ambassadors programme will highlight the inclusivity of running, and I’m sure their stories will inspire many more people to get involved.”
Duncan Sutcliffe of Sutcliffe & Co Insurance Brokers, added: “We’re thrilled to be the new headline sponsor. This event not only brings thousands of visitors to Worcester but also raises vital funds for local charities. Our team is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing, and we’re proud to support the new ambassador initiative.”
