The Wooler Trail Marathon and Half Marathon take place in the heart of Northumberland National Park, with routes exploring the spectacular Cheviot Hills from Wooler. Both races combine remote trails, open countryside and far reaching views across one of Northumberland's most impressive running landscapes.
Runners can choose between the challenging Marathon and Half Marathon distances, or complete both as the Wooler Trail Double. The Marathon stretches beyond the traditional marathon distance and features more than 6,000ft of ascent, while the Half Marathon delivers its own demanding mix of climbs, descents and varied off road terrain.
Both courses are fully marked and marshalled, with feed stations and medical support provided along the routes. Chip timing, finisher medals and race mementos complete a challenging trail running experience surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Cheviot Hills.
