Must dash with a moustache!

There is still time to set that elusive 10K personal best this year while the South of England continues to bask in unseasonally warm temperatures. We take a look at the runABC South race listing and select the pick of the 10K bunch on a busy race weekend...

Mo Running is everywhere this Movember and venues available this weekend for your hairy-faced race include Exeter River Valley Park on Saturday (17 November) and Southampton Common and Cambell Park, Milton Keynes on Sunday. The inclusion of the 1.5K mini MoRun helps promote a joyous family atmosphere while highlighting some important messages about men's health.

Experienced race promoters RunThrough have a 10K on the race card at London's oldest public park on Saturday. Together with 5K and half marathon options, all races take place in the beautiful environs of Victoria Park in the East End. Broad, flat paths and supportive marshals will help you on your way and will hopefully facilitate your best time.

The adidas City Runs Fulham 10K on Sunday is a brand new event and all general and charity places are fully sold out. This will be the best attended 10K event of the weekend by far, with 7,500 starters in five waves and a busy race village at Eel Brook Common. This is the fourth and final event of the 2018 adidas City Run series.

However, arguably the flattest and fastest 10K of the weekend will be held on the famous old motor racing circuit at Castle Combe, near Chippenham on Sunday. DB Max race timing are behind this unique event over 3.4 laps of the smooth, tarmac course, with hot soup (including a Chilli option) for all finishers and a heated viewing area with results screens for spectators. Did we hear a disparaging comment about Southern softies..?

Also in the fixture list on Sunday are contrasting 10K events on a variety of surfaces at Old Deer Park, Richmond; Marden Memorial Hall, near Tonbridge; Bedgebury National Pinetum in Kent; Eton College Rowing Centre, Windsor and Radnage, near High Wycombe.

All the events are featured in runABC South's comprehensive race listing here
