Heartfelt running at the Valentine’s 10K

Virtual option available for those unable to race that day.

It’s a little over three weeks to Run Your Heart Out Valentine’s 10K 2022 (Sunday 13 February) and a fast and flat course – perfect for PB chasers as well as those content to finish. A large Valentine’s themed medal and a gift is the reward.

Held at Quibell Park, an outdoor athletics track and stadium in North Lincolnshire, this popular race from Tape2Tape Events has an altruistic side, supporting the work of the British Heart Foundation.

The course is a rural one and on fully closed roads and a team of pacers will help runners to their target time. There is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the start where the race will start at 9am and everyone streams away and around the countryside then heads towards the athletics stadium for the big finish.

They sprint around a lap of the track, the sound of the commentator on the PA and family and friends cheering them to the line. A ‘chariots of fire’ style dash followed by a Valentine’s themed cupcake courtesy of sponsors AF Blakemore & Son Ltd and assistance from a team from the SPAR Scunthorpe. Not forgetting one of the biggest medals ever designed by the organisers.

There are prizes for the top three men and women, vets and team prizes and as the race is celebrating St Valentine’s Day, prizes for the first 5 couples. Who said romance is dead...

Staying with romance...couples are welcome to enter as well as individuals. They enter via separate orders but mark their entry as a ‘couple’ and can join these entries together. Say it with a race entry rather than flowers.

For more information and entry details, visit the Tape2Tape Events website.
