London 10 Mile 2017

Green Shoots Of Success For London 10 Mile

'London’s most beautiful running event' returns to world famous Richmond Park on Sunday, 13 May 2018 with thousands of runners of all ability levels expected to sign up for an unrivalled day of closed road running and family fun.

Entries for the second Timothy James & Partners London 10 Mile are open and organisers are anticipating entries will sell out for one of London’s premier running events. The classic distance is perfect for runners wanting to bridge the gap between 10k and half marathon, while the one mile Fun Run provides an opportunity to get the whole family involved.

Both routes feature on course music and entertainment which will guarantee an unforgettable experience for the thousands of runners who take part. Last year's inaugural event was won by the aptly named Andy Greenleaf (Serpentine, 53:24). Isabel Clark (Serpentine, 60:08) took the honours in the women's race and there were 3,242 finishers in 3:25:12.

London's most impressive Royal Park will be closed to all traffic and every participant will receive a themed medal, free photos, free yoga and massage, personalised race number and finish line snacks and drinks. In addition, organisers CSM Active are again working with parkrun who will receive a percentage of the revenue to help keep parkrun free for everyone, forever.

The London 10 Mile hosts a 'Picnic in the Park' within the Event Village, providing the opportunity for runners to enjoy Richmond Park long into the afternoon with friends and loved ones. With premium food and drink stalls, fun and games delivered by London’s leading kids’ party specialists Sharky & George, live music and fairground activities there is something to keep the whole family entertained.

Thousands of pounds were raised for the event’s lead charity partner Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity last year and participants have the option of running and raising money for GOSH Charity again in 2018. The money raised helps the charity support seriously ill children at GOSH and their families too.
