It's beautiful but please be aware the route is slightly looser under foot

The majority of the course is Tarmac. The track is used year round, it has been in place for 40+ years. It's well trodden and worn in. Damp sections possible, especially in the wooded areas. Road shoes good.
It's not an off road or trail shoe event but please note the difference in terrain. Small sections will take place on grass areas. This includes the start/finish are and a small are in Whitwell to safely bypass the car parks.
