Glowing Reviews For This Race
Two months to 'glow' until Supernova 5K London...
Light up your (running) life!
As we reach the autumnal equinox this weekend, it's time to prepare for the darker evenings to come by adding some brightness to your racing itinerary.
Supernova 5K London arrives in London's superb Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at 6:00pm on Saturday 16 November and entries are going like hot potatoes in the bonfire ashes. You can secure your place on the iconic start line at this runABC South featured race by clicking here.
As darkness fell last year 600 runners were sporting their brightest outfits and head torches supplied by race organisers GSi Events. The leading lights were the 2022 champion Lee Rogers (100 Marathon Club, 17:03) and Kate Smith (19:44) who finished eighth overall.
The race starts in the shadow of the imposing 114.5 metre tall ArcelorMittal Orbit structure and passes Stratford Waterfront, London Aquatics Centre and the stunning Olympic Stadium before finishing back where you started after one of the most exciting 5Ks you will ever run.
Every participant receives an LED head torch; Supernova buff; Supernova group warm-up; finisher's medal and drawstring bag; personalised event number with accurate chip timing; event baggage facilities; hydration at the finish; personal results posted within 48 hours, plus the fantastic Supernova running experience – all for the standard entry fee from £24.
There are more Supernova 5K races at Forth Road Bridge, Edinburgh on 2 November 2024 (entries closed) and The Kelpies – the world's largest equine sculptures in Helix Park, Falkirk on 14/15 March 2025. Another previous venue is Bournemouth where the course includes the famous Bournemouth Pier.
With two months to 'glow' before Supernova 5K London, the bright thing to do is to get this thrilling event in your race diary before entries close. This is the final race in the Supernova 5K series this year and there can be no more inspirational venue than London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where you will run in the footsteps of World and Olympic champions.
