Sunderland 10K is organised by RunThrough and follows a coastal road course around Roker in Sunderland.
Starting near Roker Beach, the flat out and back route uses smooth tarmac paths along the seafront, providing extensive coastal views and fast conditions for runners targeting a personal best. The closing section includes a lap of historic Roker Park before runners reach the finish.
Each kilometre is accurately marked, with signs and marshals positioned around the course. The race is chip timed and supports Children's Cancer North.
All finishers receive a themed medal, with free race photography and post race goodies also included.
