Sheffield 10K

Six Weeks 'Til Sheffield

One of Yorkshire's biggest and best-loved 10K races is back in just six weeks...

Sheffield's longest-running and best-loved 10K race will make its return this autumn on 29 September. The Sheffield 10K boasts a 'mega race day set up', with runners soaking up the atmosphere on Arundel Gate as they make their way across the start and finish line. Taking place right in the heart of the famous Steel City, a fantastic atmosphere is always generated by the enthusiastic local support.

The 10K route will take participants along Ecclesall Road, Rustlings Road, Graham Road, Riverdale Road, Endcliffe Vale Road and Brocco Bank, before returning along Ecclesall Road for the electric city centre finish line.

Speaking about the event, organisers have this to say: "It has been described as one of the country’s fastest, flattest... Who are we trying to kid! It's Sheffield and this 10K is a little bit bumpy! But they do say, what goes up must come down and so there are PBs-a-plenty year after year."

After the race action, participants can soak up their achievements as they relax in the top-notch Event Village. To satisfy your pre and post-run fuel needs, a selection of tasty food and drink choices will be available to purchase. There are also several bars and cafés in the area that will be sure to welcome spectators and participants and are often bursting with atmosphere after the event.

If you love music then you'll be pleased to hear it plays a big part in race day with local music groups including The Blackmarcs, Sheffield Music Hub Samba Band, Roma Children's Dance Group, and Pinder Dance Productions all keeping runners entertained on the course.
