The South Cave 10K is a community road race organised by Kingston upon Hull Athletics Club Road Runners, starting and finishing in the historic market town of South Cave. The scenic 10K route begins on the impressive driveway of Cave Castle before heading through the town and surrounding East Yorkshire countryside.
The undulating course follows quiet country roads to the neighbouring village of Ellerker before returning to South Cave. A couple of challenging climbs add variety before runners complete a lap of the local playing field to reach the finish, creating an enjoyable course that combines rural scenery with a rewarding challenge.
With chip timing, a certified UKA measured course, finisher's medals, commemorative T shirts and a welcoming community atmosphere, the South Cave 10K has become a popular fixture in the Yorkshire road running calendar. The event celebrates both local running and the heritage of South Cave, making it a memorable summer race for runners of all abilities.
