The Snowdonia Trail Marathon Eryri is one of the UK's premier mountain trail running events, based in Llanberis in the heart of Eryri National Park. The event offers a Trail Half Marathon, Marathon and 58K Ultra Marathon, taking runners through some of the most dramatic and challenging landscapes in Wales.
The fully marked routes explore the mountain trails and valleys of Eryri, passing landmarks including Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert, Nant Gwynant, Pen y Pass and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). Expect demanding climbs, technical mountain trails and spectacular panoramic views throughout. The Marathon covers approximately 28.9 miles, while the Ultra extends to 58K, with both races recognised by ITRA and carrying UTMB Index status.
Starting and finishing in Llanberis, the event combines professional organisation, fully supported courses and an unforgettable mountain running experience. A children's Dolbadarn Dash also takes place during the weekend, helping raise funds for Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team and making the festival a celebration of trail running for all ages.
