Sherwood Christmas 10K & 5K takes place at Sherwood Pines in Nottinghamshire, bringing a festive atmosphere to a scenic woodland running event. The programme includes 10K and 5K races alongside a shorter junior run, with Christmas costumes encouraged and a welcoming setting for runners and families.
The 10K and 5K follow undulating mixed terrain routes through the forest, using woodland trails and dirt tracks surrounded by tall trees. The 5K completes one lap, while the 10K covers two laps of the course. Both main races are chip timed, with clearly marked routes providing an enjoyable challenge for runners of different abilities.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with free race photographs and prizes for leading competitors. A special award recognises the best festive costume, adding to the seasonal atmosphere. With a dedicated junior race and picturesque forest surroundings, the event is a popular way to enjoy running in the lead up to Christmas.
