New Event For Scarborough This Summer
New track challenge brings summer running vibes to Scarborough...
See York Run York's Seaside Track 6 Hour Challenge will make its debut on 28 June at Bramcote Athletics Track in Scarborough, offering runners of all abilities the freedom to set their own distance goals in a fun and supportive environment.
Organised as part of the popular Track 6 Hour Challenge series, this new summer edition brings the event to the coast for the first time. Organisers explain: "Whether participants want to run one lap or keep going for the full six hours, the format is designed to be completely flexible. There’s no requirement to declare a distance in advance, and no pressure to run the full duration unless you choose to."
The event is chip timed and open to runners of all paces, with everyone who takes part receiving the same bespoke medal and a goody bag at the finish. Homemade cakes and post-race treats will be available, adding to the relaxed and sociable atmosphere.
The scenic seaside location and track-based format make it ideal for those chasing personal goals, testing endurance, or simply enjoying time on the track with friends. With a fully stocked aid station, chocolate for all finishers and an inclusive vibe, the Seaside Track 6 Hour Challenge offers a perfect mix of summer fun and running achievement.
Whether you’re aiming for a marathon, a personal milestone or a few easy laps, it’s your race and your pace at this exciting new event on the Yorkshire coast.
