Seven Races, One Amazing Day

Whether you’re aiming for the summit or just want to be part of something special, this is your chance to experience a world-class race day in one of the most stunning locations on earth...

Scotland’s most iconic mountain running festival is making a return in 2025, and it’s set to be more epic than ever. On 20 September, Salomon Skyline Scotland® will take over the Nevis Range near Fort William for one extraordinary day of racing, adventure and celebration.

After a brief break, the event is relaunching with seven brand new races, all held on a single day. With distances ranging from 10K to 100K, the 2025 edition promises something for every level of trail runner, from first-timers to international elites. Whether you’re drawn to technical skyrunning, sweeping mountain ascents, or more accessible lower-level trails, there will be a race to challenge and inspire.

First held in 2015 with just one event, the legendary Glen Coe Skyline®, the race series quickly gained international acclaim. In the years that followed, it grew to host nine races and featured in prestigious series including the Skyrunning World Series, Golden Trail World Series, Spartan Trail World Championships, and Ultra World Championships. It even played host to the Skyrunning World Championships.

In 2025, the event’s new home at Nevis Range will offer a fresh take on the experience. The atmosphere is set to be electric, with live commentary, big screen race coverage, online tracking and streaming and a vibrant event village featuring local food and drink, brand partners and a grand prize-giving ceremony. The day will round off with an evening party, keeping the celebration going into the night.

Adding to the excitement, the Ben Nevis Skyline race has been selected as a Golden Trail World Series qualifier, guaranteeing a competitive and international field. One past participant summed it up perfectly: “What an amazing weekend. From every runner, supporter, volunteer, organiser, exhibitor and the place itself – wow. This is the best and most iconic event in the UK.”
